no one can ever tell you your future. if anything, they should not call it your future, but call it something that might have happened if they told you nothing.

it's funny

today i can walk into an apple store, jump on a macbook, and find malware slowly and happily reporting data to unknown sources.

which is weird because many apple commercials and many websites say that macs (and linux) don't really need any anti-malware software.

come to think of it, that's a huge advantage to malware authors, and a huge disadvantage to anti-malware authors. no one is gonna wanna buy or download anti-malware software if everyone says it's not necessary.

which makes me wonder if windows anti-malware software will always be better, since the market for windows anti-malware software is already well established.

back then, countless malware was written just to exploit vulnerabilities in windows and to cause problems and trouble (corrupting files, deleting files, making windows constantly shut down and restart). nowadays, it's just not like that. computers are worth more if they work. information is more valuable when intact.

since malware is getting harder to detect, analyze the network traffic. if something's encrypted, is it supposed to be? where does it go?
