probably one of my favorite books. i always read random pages every now and then.
haven't found the time to read other cordwainer smith (paul m. a. linebarger), but hopefully someday i will.
first learned about this book from trying to understand more of neon genesis evangelion (back in the '90s, the playstation, n64 days). then was even more interested when flcl, another studio gainax anime, featured a character named after the book. unfortunately, i never found a copy of the book until i was in college.
i haven't read any new books lately, so i ended up recommending this book to a friend.
and she was like, "who the f*** is carmichael smith?"
ha ha.
